Ingrid Solberg ran her own practice in Bergen for fifteen years before joining Gerstner, building housing for cooperatives and small municipalities.
As dean she has brought working architects back into the studio. Every design unit is now taught by a pair: one academic and one practitioner who still builds.
Her current research follows ten timber housing projects from drawing to their first decade of use, recording what the residents changed and why.
