Twelve new scholarships for master’s students

From September 2027, Gerstner will fund twelve full scholarships for master’s students from outside Europe. Each one covers tuition for the whole programme and a monthly grant towards living costs in Basel.

The scholarships are open to every master’s programme, in every faculty. There is no separate form: tick the scholarship box when you apply, and add a short letter about what you want to do after your degree. Applications received by the early deadline on 15 January get first consideration.

We want our studios to include people who see the world from somewhere else. Twelve scholarships is a start, and we plan to double the number within three years.
